Max joined the Mitzi lab in the fall of 2022 as a PhD student. Before coming to Duke, he obtained his bachelor's degree in chemistry from The University of Oklahoma where he researched luminescent hybrid organic-inorganic halide materials for LED applications. His current research in the Mitzi Lab is concerned with the design and synthesis of new multinary chalcogenide semiconductors for PV, as well as the development of new design principles to drive PV material discovery.
