Akash joined Mitzi lab in the fall of 2019 as a PhD student. Prior coming to Duke he obtained his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIIT Jabalpur and carried out his undergrad thesis work in Dr. Avasthi's lab at Indian Institute of Science. His current research interest is in setting up design rules to transform crystalline metal-halide perovskites into glassy state and study its properties to engender new applications to increase the utility scope of these hybrid materials.
