Congratulations to Dr. David Mitzi for being awarded the 2025 William R. Cherry Award by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)! This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Mitzi’s substantial contributions towards advancing the field of photovoltaics over the course of his career. His work at IBM and Duke has been a driving force in the advancement of hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites and solution-processable chalcogenides for PV applications, significantly driving forward global efforts to produce efficient and cost effective solar renewable energy.
