Max McWhorter, a third-year PhD student in Chemistry, has been awarded the 2024-25 Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) John Chambers Scholarship! Max’s current work in the Mitzi group focuses on designing new chalcogenide materials for applications in photovoltaics, spin control, and beyond, as well as the development of new design principles to drive the discovery of functional materials. Congratulations, Max!
